Background

I was born right here in Montreal, QC, on November 21, 1986. I absolutely love this city! I grew up and still live in the West Island, which can make getting downtown to school a bit of a hassle, but I love the small-community feel.

Interests, Activities, and Plans

I spent my last semester on stage for the entire 15 weeks, taking part in a special field experience option called The David Dillon Project.
I also work part-time in a women's clothing store and a children's clothing store. In my spare time, I volunteer at an elementary school to read to children who stay in the after-school daycare program. I also volunteer my time to EdUS, the Education Undergraduate Society, as a co-VP of Academic Affairs.
When I am not in school, working, or volunteering, I love to have tea time with friends, shop, read, and watch stand-up comedy! I am very arts-oriented, so I love to go to the theatre whenever I get a chance.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, as well as my boyfriend of 6 years. A lot of people can't believe we've been together for so long at such a young age!
Upon completion of my degree at McGill, I would like to find a job teaching in an elementary school. I would like to go out of province and get a feel for a whole different education system.
My main professional objective is to learn how to create an inclusive setting for learning within my classroom, that is welcoming to all students.

Other Interesting Things

I mentioned how much I love to watch the arts, but I also spent many years participating in a variety of arts activities myself. I have tried my hand at four different styles of dance over the past fifteen years (ballet, tap, jazz, and Irish dancing). I have also taken acting classes with two different schools as well as voice lessons. As a child, my dream was to perform on Broadway!
